The CalArts Print Fair is an annual event that features the print work of CalArts students, alumni, faculty, and friends. This year's event committee has consisted of a team of CalArts PMFA, MFA1, and BFA2 students. The fair hosted +60 exhibitors in the Main Gallery of CalArts and accommodated many visitors. Workshops were provided by Confetti Confidential, a women's collage group comprised of CalArts Graphic Design alumnus, and Calvin Rye & Sarah Shoemake, also CalArts GD alums, hosted a workshop on drawing machines. Event photos can be found below.
I've co-led the organization process of the Print Fair as a whole with Mina Shoaib while also taking charge of booking workshops with visiting designers, inviting guests, heading the signage team, and organizing tasks for teams.
Collectively established the branding for the Print Fair with Henrique Eira, Lu Feng, Aamina Ganser, and Jimin Kim. Our inspiration came from the process of making: collecting scraps, iterations, and tools used to create a collage or junction, to represent the vast community of printmakers joining one another.
